Introduction:

This website has been created as an assignment for the course, GIS Health & Planning, for the Fall semester of 2009. The majority of the data was taken from the NYC data mine and US Census Bureau (2000 American Fact Finder). The intention of this project is to find patterns and illustrate NYC recreational facilities along with fresh food availability and its unequal distribution throughout the 5 boroughs (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island, & Queens).
